Instructions for authors

 

The congress language is English. Presenters are supposed to submit a paper. The papers will be published on an USB-Stick. The congress proceedings will be handed out at the congress to all participants.

For authors it is obligatory to follow the format guidelines for congress contributions. Please use the guidelines for Microsoft Word, which are available under Guidelines for Papers. If there are any problems, please contact us.

Guidelines for Papers

Please use the given template for Word. If any problems occur, please contact us. The template may be downloaded as PDF as well.

Congress contributions must not exceed 10 pages according to the format guidelines and must be written in two columns. The manuscript must be submitted until 14th August 2014 at the latest via e-mail to office@aaa-oega.org

When generating a PDF document please note that all fonts are embedded. This is a compulsory condition for the correct presentation of contributions in printed form. The completed manuscripts have to be produced as MS-Word (*.DOC) or Adobe PDF (*.PDF). Problems, which may occur when producing PDF or Word files as well as their solution, are described in detail in the following:

 

• To achieve a correct presentation of the congress contribution it is necessary that all fonts to be used are embedded.

• The guidelines of the Microsoft Word template must be maintained to avoid problems concerning the margins.

• For the production of a PDF file, all objects contained such as fonts and diagrams used must be embedded in the PDF. Adobe Acrobat offers respective options, not eliminating any fonts from embedding.

 

Presentation guidelines

The duration of lectures is 15 minutes with a subsequent discussion of 5 minutes. A computer (operating system Windows 7, Power Point 2010, Acrobat Reader) and a beamer are available for oral presentation in each congress room. Lecturers are requested to have their presentation(s) ready on CD-ROM or USB stick and to give it to a congress official or helper in order to transfer the data to the respective computer before the session begins (during coffee break/lunch). The projection of fotografic slides is not available.

Reproduction of audio-demonstrations is possible. These are to be registered via e-mail to office@aaa-oega.org at least two weeks before the congress beginning at the latest.
